// Who is the hero of a thousand faces, otherwise the questing man who is leaving towards the vast world
to return afterwards in the narowest of the caves? //
Peter Sloterdijk, Bulle - Sphères I, La réclusion dans la mère

This is also your skin results from the study of the link between interior architecture and cinema: the decor. How does the space express the story of our daily life?
How does a functional space and its chosen objects, materials, manifest more than its physical existence? Our chosen basis is an extract of Rebecca, Hitchcock’s first
american film, realised in 1940. The striking caracteristic of Rebecca’s bedroom gives this focus: the walls, the flowers, the relation to the light, the spatial processes
tell everything about Rebecca: the furniture is entirely covered, nothing is nude, but still completely ready to be showed.

We focused our first steps on how the ornament is a manifestation of the personnality of the space’s owner. As well, the proximity of the elements composing
a bedroom to the ones of a mausoleum was accurate to us. Our following observations about how the ornament can be obsessive leads us to consider the power
of the fullness of ornament confronted to its emptiness: the behind of the set. How, between its lightness and darkness, does it sacralise the room? Layers by layers,
our first models materialise how a sucession of ornaments, followed by its opposite, can be experienced: mineral, vegetal and animal ornaments put the room alive,
wishpering secrets. /la suite/
